Personal bio
Chimdimma Onyedebelu is Regional Vice President of the Commercial Division at the American Arbitration Association–International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA-ICDR), based in Houston, Texas. In this role, she oversees commercial business strategy across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Alabama, administers large, complex commercial and energy arbitration and mediation cases, and leads outreach, recruitment, and engagement efforts for the AAA-ICDR’s commercial panel of arbitrators in the region.
A trained arbitrator and mediator, Chimdimma is actively involved in the global ADR community and has served as an arbitral secretary in commercial arbitrations and co-mediator in mediations. She currently serves as Chair of the ADR Committee for the Houston Young Lawyers Association and sits on the Advisory Board of the Institute for Energy Law.
Prior to joining the AAA-ICDR, she held roles with prominent ADR institutions in Nigeria, gaining experience in both domestic and international dispute resolution. Chimdimma holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Afe Babalola University in Nigeria and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri–Columbia.
