Personal bio
Jake Desira is an Associate at Fenech & Fenech Advocates and works within the Corporate and Commercial Department. His expertise primarily lies in commercial advisory and litigation, with particular focus on cross-border litigation, international arbitration, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements and arbitral awards, competition law and tax disputes.
Jake joined the firm in 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree and his Professional Award in Taxation in 2020. Following this, he completed his Master of Advocacy in 2021 and was admitted to the Bar in 2022. Jake also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Dispute Resolution from the University of London.
Prior to joining the firm, he gained valuable experience in international tax advisory and tax controversy, at a Big Four firm in Malta.
Jake is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb). He also forms part of the Malta Institute of Taxation and is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars related to tax controversy and litigation.
