Member Panel FAQs

As part of our commitment to reach out and engage more with our members, we are excited to establish a Member Insight Panel. Launching in 2021, the Panel is a group of members who opt-in to take a leading role in shaping CIArb’s future initiatives. This will be achieved by utilising our members’ expertise and experiences, and by putting your views and insights at the heart of our new strategy.

We will share proposals for new projects and initiatives with the Member Panel to get views and feedback on them while they are at the development stage, such as new training courses and our plans for the website. We will then use the feedback to make sure we deliver what members want and value.

Member Panel FAQS

The Member Insight Panel is a group of members who opt-in to take a leading role in shaping CIArb’s future initiatives.  This will be achieved by utilising our members’ expertise and experiences, and by putting your views and insights at the heart of our new strategy.

By joining the Member Insight Panel, you will have an exciting opportunity to engage directly with colleagues at CIArb, share your views, and contribute to the development of new initiatives aimed at better supporting you.

You can expect to be contacted by colleagues from CIArb to take part in the Member Insight Panel, as part of a cross-section of members from around the world.  The methods by which you will contribute will vary depending on the topic, but will typically involve surveys, interviews and focus-groups.  There is no minimum time requirement to be on the Panel, so you may choose to take part in feedback on a case-by-case basis.  You will not be expected to take part in every piece of research.

If you would like to join the Member Insight Panel, you can do if you are: A) An active CIArb member (with the exclusion of Student Members).  B) By signing up in response to CIArb’s expression of interest.  You can do that by filling out the registration form by 29 May 2021.

The Member Insight Panel is managed by the colleagues at the CIArb HQ in the Membership Services Team.

Your personal information will be used in order to communicate with you in relation to your participation in the Panel.  CIArb is committed to meeting the requirements of the following laws and codes:
- The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Data Protection Act 1998 and the new Data Protection Bill 2017
- CIArb Data Privacy Notice

It is preferable to complete a survey once only.  While there is no limit to the number of times you can complete a survey we will only use one set of answers from each individual.  If you have completed the survey but later realised that you have made an error, please email Noah at npesci@ciarb.org stating which submission you would like deleted.

We estimate that we will be undertaking a short piece of research roughly every two months. There is no set number of times that you will be invited to participate.  Participation will be welcomed on an ad-hoc basis.

Your responses to surveys will be combined with the responses of other participants in an anonymised dataset, which will then be analysed to produce aggregated results, so you will not be identifiable through the information you provide.
