Overview
Ongoing reforms to arbitration frameworks, alongside broader shifts in international dispute resolution practice, present important considerations for businesses and legal practitioners. In this evolving legal landscape, it is crucial to understand the direction and scope of these reforms from the outset, to evaluate their implications for arbitration strategy and cross-border business relationships, and to anticipate their potential impact on the conduct and outcome of arbitral proceedings at an early stage.
The panel brings together high-ranking representatives from the U.K. and Germany who will share their experiences and perspectives on these important developments and their impact on international dispute resolution. In light of recent reforms to the U.K. Arbitration Act, the panel will also assess what the German ongoing reforms process can learn from the U.K.‘s experience. The event will facilitate an open exchange of ideas and insights, and there will be the opportunity to raise questions for discussion and share thoughts.
The event is organized by the German Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Ciarb) and hosted by Gleiss Lutz.
