Nominations for Ciarb's Trustee election are now open

We are holding elections for six Board of Trustee positions - nominations close on 30 September 2026. The elected Trustees serve from 1 January 2027 for a term of four years.

The regions where the incumbent Trustee has reached the end of their second term on the Board and is not eligible to stand again are:

  • Great Britain – two vacancies
  • East Asia – one vacancy

The regions where an incumbent Trustee is standing for re-election are:

  • Africa – one vacancy (incumbent: Chikwendu Madumere C.Arb FCIArb);
  • Great Britain – one vacancy (Incumbent: Ben Giaretta FCIArb); and
  • Middle East/ Indian Sub-Continent – one vacancy (Incumbent: Saad Hegazy FCIArb)

Members are invited to nominate eligible members as candidates for the role of Ciarb Trustee in their region. Eligible members for election are Associates, Members, or Fellows (ACIArb, MCIArb or FCIArb) of Ciarb whose billing address for membership subscriptions is in the region for which they wish to stand. Members may only nominate eligible members from their region.

To be eligible to stand as a nominated candidate and/or vote in the elections, members must have paid their annual subscription and completed their Annual Declaration for this current membership year.

The Nomination Form which includes the Candidate Declaration Forms must be completed and returned to Ciarb by 23:59 GMT+1, 30 September 2026 by either:

  • email to governance@ciarb.org;
  • or by post to The Governance Team, 12 Bloomsbury Square, London WC1A 2LP marked ‘Trustee Election’.
