Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is used to resolve a wide range of disputes, providing a valuable alternative to the courts system. In many cases, it can be a faster way to resolve disputes, it can be more flexible, lower cost, confidential and less confrontational. This course develops your understanding of the various methods of dispute resolution.
Because the course is available online and on-demand, you can study wherever and whenever it suits you, and at your own pace.

Important: Before booking, you are responsible for ensuring that your English language skills are at Professional Working Proficiency level. This level is required when enrolling for any Ciarb course or assessment. Ciarb does not require evidence of this prior to enrolment. It is recommended that you achieve a standard that is, as a minimum, equivalent to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) level 7 or a score of 94-101 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) system. Please note that Ciarb does not require an official IELTS or TOEFL result.

Assessment of this course is completed through an online multiple-choice test accessed via LearnADR, Ciarb's online learning platform. Candidates will be given 28 days to complete and submit the assessment. Candidates must achieve a minimum overall mark of 55% to pass the course.
Results are made available to candidates immediately upon completion of the assessment. The assessment fee is not included in the course fee. It must be registered and paid for separately.

You can take this course wherever and whenever it suits you as it’s online and on-demand. Plus, you can learn at your own pace.

Once you have purchased the course, you can access it by going to your MyCiarb dashboard and clicking on 'My Courses'. There you will find a red button that says, 'LearnADR'.
You will have access to LearnADR for 6 months from the date of enrolment.
The corresponding assessment to this course is available separately to purchase and it not included in the course fee. The assessment is in the form of an online multiple-choice test. You will have 28 days to complete and submit the assessment and results are made available immediately upon completion.
Upon successful registration, you will receive confirmation of booking. Joining instructions and course materials will be made available on LearnADR, Ciarb’s online learning platform, approximately 3 days after you have booked and paid for the course.
This course enables you to learn at your own pace. On average, the course should take approximately 3-4 hours to complete.
Ciarb reserves the right to cancel or change the date, venue or content of programmes and the names of speakers, lecturers and tutors. You will be provided with adequate notice of any change. If Ciarb has to cancel a course, you will be provided with a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your registration to the next course.
